Alexander Hackl
Alexander Hackl is an artist, producer and musician from Vienna. In the course of his master studies "Experimental Media" at the FH St.Pölten he dealt with the relationship between human bodies and technology. This resulted in the "Bodymapping Framework", an ongoing art project, which has since been presented internationally in the context of various performances and installations. (M.A.R.S. Festival Los Angeles, opening MQ Libelle, TedX Klagenfurt).
From 2016 to 2022 Alexander Hackl created as part of THISPLAY various installations ,it focus on interaction around. These include the work "SIMILARITIES" in the MQ Artbox Vienna, the building installation "Capital Letters" in Bucharest, an interactive building mapping of the Salzburg train station, as well as the German Design Award-winning real-time data installation "Big Data Spine".
Since 2020, Alexander has been part of the electropop duo and art collective Laikka which, in addition to an album and a techno EP, has created and exhibited a number of artistic works. These include "The Grey Edge" (audiovisual work | Gallerie Lenkus, Korsi Society) and "the ocean is a blue/black/gray/brown/black ocean" (Interactive VR Sound Installation | Parallel Vienna) as well as the performance series "Wasser, Blut, Wort" (Parallel Vienna, Holy Hydra Festival).
